Oppenheimer, Franz (1864-1943) Physician, economist, and sociologist He took a favourable view of Zionism and was active in the Zionist Federation (ZVfD) until World War I. In the 1920s he was a professor at the University of Frankfurt. In 1933-1938 he taught at the Liberal rabbinical seminary in Berlin. In 1938, he emigrated to the United States.
